Description
A healthy take on traditional Bolognese using zucchini noodles instead of pasta.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 medium zucchinis, spiralized
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and garlic, sauté until softened.
- Add ground beef, cook until browned.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer for 15 minutes.
- In a separate pan, lightly sauté zucchini noodles for 2-3 minutes.
- Serve Bolognese sauce over zucchini noodles.
- Garnish with fresh basil.
Notes
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
- For a vegetarian option, substitute ground beef with lentils.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.
