Description
A classic holiday green bean casserole made with fresh green beans, creamy sauce, and crispy toppings.

- 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 cup French fried onions
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Blanch the green beans in boiling water for 5 minutes, then drain.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Add the blanched green beans to the soup mixture and stir to coat.
- Pour the mixture into a baking dish and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove from oven and stir in half of the French fried onions.
- Top with the remaining French fried onions and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- You can use frozen green beans if fresh are not available.
- Adjust the amount of French fried onions based on your preference.
- This dish can be prepared ahead of time and baked just before serving.
