Description

A sweet and festive candy perfect for the holiday season.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1 cup shredded coconut (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, corn syrup, water, and salt in a saucepan.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
  3. Bring to a boil and cook without stirring until it reaches 250°F (hard ball stage).
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Add nuts and coconut if desired.
  6. Pour mixture into a greased pan and let it cool.
  7. Once cooled, cut into squares and serve.
