Description
Homemade fresh cranberry sauce is a simple and flavorful side dish.
Ingredients

- 12 ounces fresh cranberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 orange, zested and juiced
Instructions
- Rinse the cranberries under cold water.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, water, and orange juice. Bring to a boil.
- Add the cranberries and orange zest to the saucepan.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes until cranberries burst.
- Remove from heat and let cool. The sauce will thicken as it cools.
Notes
- Adjust sugar to taste if you prefer it sweeter.
- Refrigerate leftovers for up to a week.
- This sauce can be served warm or chilled.
