Description

A sweet and salty treat made with saltine crackers, toffee, and chocolate.


Ingredients

  • 40 saltine crackers
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring until it comes to a boil.
  4. Pour the toffee mixture over the saltine crackers, spreading it evenly.
  5. Bake in the oven for 5-7 minutes until bubbly.
  6. Remove from the oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over the top.
  7. Let the chocolate soften for a few minutes, then spread it out evenly.
  8. Sprinkle with chopped nuts if desired.
  9. Allow to cool completely before breaking into pieces.
