Description

A classic Christmas dish featuring beef wrapped in puff pastry.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 kg beef tenderloin
  • 400 g mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 100 g pâté
  • 1 packet of puff pastry
  • 2 egg yolks
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F).
  2. Season the beef with salt and pepper. Sear in olive oil until browned.
  3. Cook the mushrooms in the same pan until moisture evaporates.
  4. Spread pâté over the beef and top with mushrooms.
  5. Wrap the beef in puff pastry and seal edges.
  6. Brush with egg yolk.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
