Description
Crispy and flavorful Japanese fried chicken made in an air fryer.
Ingredients

- 500g chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sake
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 cup potato starch
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
Instructions
- Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces.
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sake, ginger, garlic, and sesame oil.
- Add chicken to the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix potato starch, salt, and pepper.
- Coat marinated chicken pieces in the potato starch mixture.
- Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (400°F).
- Place chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, spray a little cooking oil on the chicken before air frying.
- Adjust marinade time for stronger flavor.
- Serve with lemon wedges for added zest.
