Description

A delicious roasted whole chicken that is juicy and flavorful.


Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken (about 45 lbs)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Fresh herbs (thyme, rosemary, or parsley)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Remove the giblets from the chicken and pat it dry with paper towels.
  3. Rub the olive oil all over the chicken.
  4. Season the chicken with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  5. Place fresh herbs inside the cavity of the chicken.
  6. Place the chicken in a roasting pan.
  7. Roast the chicken for about 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  8. Let the chicken rest for 10-15 minutes before carving.
