Ingredients

- 4 cod fillets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lemon, juiced
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season cod fillets with salt and pepper.
- Place fillets in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Remove cod from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add butter and garlic; sauté until fragrant.
- Add lemon juice and stir well.
- Return cod to the skillet and coat with the sauce.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Ensure the skillet is hot before adding the cod.
- Do not overcrowd the pan to avoid steaming the fish.
- Serve immediately for the best texture.
