Description

A flavorful bread infused with Italian herbs and cheese.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp Italian herb blend
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture.
  3. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Incorporate Parmesan and Italian herbs into the dough.
  5. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl for 1 hour.
  6. Punch down the dough and fold in mozzarella cheese.
  7. Shape the dough into a loaf and place in a greased pan.
  8. Let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
