Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, butter, and corn syrup in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Stir until the mixture melts and becomes smooth.
  3. Add heavy cream, salt, and vanilla extract.
  4. Continue to cook, stirring frequently until the mixture reaches 245°F (firm ball stage).
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased 8-inch square pan.
  6. Let it cool completely before cutting into squares.
  7. Wrap each caramel in wax paper.
