Ingredients

- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Whipped cream for topping
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, baking powder, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
- Preheat the waffle iron and grease it lightly.
- Pour batter into the waffle iron and cook according to manufacturer’s instructions.
- Serve warm topped with whipped cream.
Notes
- Adjust spices to taste.
- Can use whole wheat flour for a healthier option.
- Leftover waffles can be frozen for later use.
