Description

Delicious gingerbread pancakes topped with syrup.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together milk, egg, molasses, and melted butter.
  3. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  4. Heat a griddle over medium heat and grease lightly.
  5. Pour 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake onto the griddle.
  6. Cook until bubbles form, then flip and cook until golden.

Notes

  • Serve with maple syrup.
  • Adjust spices to taste.
