Description
A nutritious freekeh bowl topped with tender lamb.
Ingredients

- 1 cup freekeh
- 2 cups water or broth
- 500g lamb, diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon coriander
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Rinse freekeh under cold water.
- In a pot, combine freekeh and water or broth. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add onion and garlic. Sauté until soft.
- Add diced lamb, cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper.
- Cook until lamb is browned and cooked through.
- Fluff freekeh with a fork and divide into bowls.
- Top with lamb mixture and garnish with parsley.
Notes
- Use any broth for added flavor.
- Adjust spices to your taste.
- Serve with yogurt or a side salad if desired.
