Description

These crusty mini baguettes are perfect for sandwiches or as a side with meals.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 cups warm water
  • 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm water and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add flour and salt to the yeast mixture. Stir until combined.
  3. Knead the dough for 10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Cover the bowl and let it rise for 1 hour.
  5. Punch down the dough and divide it into small portions.
  6. Shape each portion into a baguette.
  7. Place on a baking sheet and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
  9. Make slashes on top of the baguettes.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
