Description

A classic Southern dish featuring spicy cajun shrimp served over creamy grits.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup grits
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a pot, bring water to a boil.
  2. Add grits and reduce heat. Cook until thickened.
  3. Stir in butter and cheese until melted.
  4. Season shrimp with cajun seasoning.
  5. In a skillet, cook shrimp until pink and cooked through.
  6. Serve shrimp over grits and garnish with green onions.
