Description

A classic apple pie with a beautiful lattice crust.


Ingredients

  • 6 cups sliced apples
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 package pie crusts (2 crusts)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
  3. Roll out one pie crust and place it in a pie dish.
  4. Add the apple mixture to the crust.
  5. Dot with butter.
  6. Roll out the second crust and cut it into strips.
  7. Weave the strips over the apple filling to create a lattice top.
  8. Seal the edges and trim any excess dough.
  9. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the apples are tender and the crust is golden.
